It is installed at the top connection point of the front shock absorber, linking the shock absorber to the front strut tower of the vehicle body. Installation 要点

  2. Old Bushing Removal: Use a 13mm socket to remove the 3 bolts securing the shock absorber top mount; take out the old bushing (note its orientation). Clean the mount’s surface to wipe away dust or residual rubber.
  3. New Bushing Installation: Align SZ460C3301 with the top mount’s grooves, press it into place (ensure no tilting), then hand-tighten the 3 bolts to avoid cross-threading.
  4. Torque Fastening: Use a torque wrench to tighten the bolts to 22±2 Nm (per Tesla’s specs) — over-tightening may compress the rubber excessively, reducing damping performance.
  5. Post-Installation Check: Reinstall the wheel and fender liner, lower the vehicle, and road-test for abnormal front-end noise. If steering feels “stiff,” recheck the bushing’s alignment.

 

Note: For consistent performance, replace left and right bushings in pairs. Avoid using petroleum-based lubricants (they damage CR rubber); use OEM-spec rubber lubricant if needed.
