Rear Subframe Front Anterior Bushing for 2017–2023 Tesla Model 3/Model Y | 1188551 (CFN Brand)​
This rear subframe front anterior bushing (part number 1188551) is an OEM-matching suspension component for 2017–2023 Tesla Model 3 and 2020–2023 Model Y (all variants: RWD/AWD/Performance). As a left/right universal part, it installs at the rear subframe’s front connection point, linking the subframe (integrating rear suspension, motor, and driveshaft) to the vehicle body—aligning with Tesla’s original suspension geometry and NVH standards.​
Its core roles are threefold: First, subframe positioning—it locks the rear subframe in factory-calibrated position, preventing displacement from bumps or torque changes, which maintains rear wheel alignment (toe/camber) and avoids uneven tire wear or braking lag. Second, vibration damping—made of high-elastic EPDM rubber, it absorbs low-frequency vibrations from rough roads and blocks drivetrain noise, preserving the Model 3/Y’s quiet ride. Third, impact buffering—it cushions impacts between the rigid subframe and body, reducing mechanical stress and extending component life.​
Crafted for durability: The EPDM rubber has a compression set ≤12% (72h/100°C) to resist cracking or hardening. Its galvanized carbon steel inner sleeve (tensile strength ≥380MPa) and outer ring ensure stability under loads, while withstanding -40°C to 120°C temperatures and road salt corrosion.​
Installation (45–60 mins, professional tools needed):​
  1. Lift the rear vehicle, remove the underbody splash guard and rear wheel.​
  1. Use an 18mm socket to remove the bushing’s securing bolt; use a press tool to extract the old bushing (avoid forcing it to prevent subframe damage).​
  1. Clean the mounting hole, apply OEM rubber lubricant to the new bushing’s outer ring, then press it into place.​
  1. Reinstall the bolt, torque to 55±3 Nm, then refit the wheel and splash guard.​
  1. Road-test for abnormal noises and check alignment if needed.​
Note: Pair replacement (left/right) is recommended for consistent performance; avoid petroleum-based lubricants that harm EPDM rubber.
